About the Author

Elizabeth Bixby

Grief is not pretty. It's not easy. It's not something we ever talk about, unless we are in the middle of it. Using the experiences of her life, of both great sorrows and great joys, Elizabeth Bixby uses stories from her life, and insight from Scripture to begin the process of healing. She gives the reader free reign to express their own feelings and thoughts on the heels of reading each story, in each of the four sections of grief. From personal experience, she knows there are no direct paths or short cuts to sorting out the questions and emotions of great loss. Her desire in writing this journal is to be a catalyst for your healing...and that you would hear the unmistakable voice of God, as you are grieving, dangerously.

Elizabeth is blissfully retired in Hendersonville, Tennessee where she enjoys daily walks, occasional trips to the mountains and vacations on the beach whenever possible. Thirty years of teaching students with special needs leaves her with a great love for children. When not chasing her two grandchildren, she can be spotted reading to, or assisting students in the classroom, as a substitute teacher. Her own adult children, David and Jenny, and their respective loved ones are her greatest joy in life.

Jesus is enough.
